BIOGRAPHY
English actress Georgie Henley jumped from grade school plays to major motion pictures in 2005 when she was cast as Lucy, the youngest of the Pevensie children who saves the mythical land of Narnia in "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe." Despite her novice status, Henley was widely praised for her performance and won several awards from critical associations. After a brief stint as the young Jane Eyre in a 2006 BBC 1 serial, she returned to the role of Lucy in the 2008 "Narnia" sequel, "Prince Caspian."
Born Georgina Helen Henley on July 12, 1995 in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, England, Henley was the youngest of three daughters born to Mike and Helen Henley. She got her first taste of performing as a member of the Ilkley Upstagers' Theatre Group, a well-known amateur troupe based in her home town, but had no prior on-camera experience prior to auditioning for the role of Lucy Pevensie in "Lion." Her naturally precocious nature won over director Andrew Adamson and his casting team, so she traveled to New Zealand for three months to shoot the special effects-laden epic. Henley's Lucy was largely the focus of "Lion;" it was her excursion into the title wardrobe that uncovers the world of Narnia, and her relationship with the faun Mr. Tumnus (James McAvoy) spurs her to enlist her brothers and sister to help rescue the creatures of Narnia from the reign of the White Witch (Tilda Swinton). Later in the novel and film, Lucy aids the lion Aslan (voiced by Liam Neeson) in rescuing the Narnian creatures that have been turned to stone by the Witch, and saves her brother Edmund (Skandar Keynes) when he is gravely injured in the final clash with the Witch's forces. In interviews, Henley said that she attempted to put her own spin on the character and make her more independent and active than the version penned by C.S. Lewis in his book. In the film's finale, where the Pevensie children are seen as adults, Lucy was played by her older sister Rachael.
While shooting "Lion," Henley was inspired by the New Zealand setting to pen two fantasy-themed books, one of which she sold to benefit the World Wildlife Fund. Upon her return to the UK, she remained active in local theater and continued her education, but the relative calm of her home life was soon interrupted by the worldwide acclaim for "Lion." Not only was the film a financial and critical hit (it was the third highest-grossing live action film for Disney), but Henley was largely singled out by critics for her impressive debut performance. She earned three trophies for the film - a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film By an Actress Ten Years or Younger, as well as Best Supporting Actress (Youth) from the Phoenix Film Critics Society and a Carnie from the Character and Morality in Entertainment Awards, which she shared with her castmates and the filmmakers. Henley also received several notable nominations for her performance, including the Empire Awards UK and Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards
In 2006, Henley appeared as the young Jane Eyre in a BBC 1 production of the Charlotte Bronte novel; she also co-starred in a stage production of "Babes in the Woods" with the Ilkley Upstagers that same year. In 2007, she returned to New Zealand to begin production on "Prince Caspian," the film adaptation of the second "Narnia" novel. Lucy's role in the sequel was expanded even further to include her in several action sequences (per Henley's request, according to Adamson). Growing up on film, the actress was even required to wear prosthetic teeth in several scenes, due to the loss of her own natural baby teeth. Henley also signed on to play Lucy again in the third "Narnia" sequel, "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" (2010), which was scheduled to begin filming with director Michael Apted in Mexico in late 2008. Despite her busy schedule, Henley remained non-committal about her future as an actress, stating in interviews that she would be equally pleased if she became a cartoonist or an author when she  grew up.

BIOGRAPHY
Skandar Amin Casper Keynes (born 5 September 1991) is an English actor best known for starring as Edmund Pevensie in the 2005 film adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. He will return in the role of Edmund in the film's sequel The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, which is currently scheduled for release in the summer of 2008.

Keynes was born in London to writer Randal Keynes and Zelfa Cecil Hourani and has a sister called Soumaya. Through his father, Keynes is the great-great-great grandson of the famous scientist Charles Darwin. His great grandfather Edgar Douglas Adrian, 1st Baron Adrian won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1932.

His maternal grandfather, Cecil Fadlo Hourani, is a famous writer of Lebanese descent, and the brother of Albert Hourani, also a well-known writer and professor. Keynes attended the Anna Scher Theatre School from 2000 to 2005 and currently attends the all-boys City of London School.
Trivia
He grew six-and-a-half inches while filming The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005). He had to get his armor fixed weekly.
Can ride a horse.
Plays the cornet and flute.
Attended Anna Scher Theatre School, 2000-2005.
Studies tae kwon do.
The name Skandar is of Turkish origin meaning Alexander; oddly enough his character Edmund Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005) is obsessed with a delicacy called Turkish Delight.
He auditioned for the role of Simon in Nanny McPhee (2005), prior to being cast as Edmund in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005). Thomas Brodie-Sangster won the role of Simon.
Is the great-great-great grandson of naturalist Charles Darwin and son of author Randal Keynes.
He has an elder sister named Soumaya Keynes.
He is the son of 'Zelfa Cecil Hourani' (who is of Lebanese descent) and Randal Keynes.
He attends the City of London School, a private all-boys school.

Was banned from eating sugar products on set during the filming of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005) due to hyperactive tendencies.
Plays cricket.
Loves playing video games.
He was trained to sword fight by sword trainer Allan Poppleton while working on the film The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and also learned to ride a horse.
Enjoys playing football and is a supporter of Arsenal Football Club.
Despite his mother's Lebanese roots, his family's practice of vacationing in Beirut every summer, and his years of weekend language classes, he admitted to The New Yorker magazine that he "doesn't speak Arabic all that well."
His father is the great-nephew of famed economist John Maynard Keynes.
A piece in the July 31, 2006, issue of The New Yorker magazine reported that Keynes and his family had flee Beiruit shortly after arriving there for their annual summer vacation when the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah conflict started. The family decided to leave when Skandar's grandfather had men, possibly Hezbollah militants, come to the house and asked him about the identities of the British visitors.
A descendant of Charles Darwin.

Personal Quotes
"When it's all over I won't miss the bruises he gave me to impress girls, or the occasional scar which will give me a story to tell my grandchildren, but I'll definitely miss the pranks and the laughing and all the making fun of each other. I'll miss the funky advice he gives me about everything -- football, girls, video games, clothes. Most of all, I'll miss having an older brother." (on costar, William Moseley)
"For safety reasons during the rehearsal we had to use a rubber ball, which has a really strange bounce that made it hard to hit. Then when we were finally using the real ball for the scene, Will bowled it wide of me every single time so I couldn't hit it. I was furious. Then Andrew started to doubt that I could actually play cricket, and he asked me to pretend to hit the ball for the rest of the rehearsals. On the next ball, I hit it as hard as I could. It smashed into some of our lighting, and the crew yelled, "Skan-DAR!'" (on the cricket scene)
"He's magical. He's great with children. Amazingly fun and cool and funny. Lots of hair too." (about director Andrew Adamson)
"When I first met Georgie, she was very eager to talk. Georgie is great. She's small and hilarious. To laugh at. I mean with - to laugh with."
"I can counter everyone but Andrew. One day, because he's always taking the mick out of me, I'm going to have the best comeback ever. I'm going to call him up thirty years from now and say, 'Hey, Andrew, remember when you said this? Well...'"
"Well, let's see. Edmund is the black sheep of the family, the outcast. He's always trying to get up to the level of the older two by putting down Lucy. He's very immature and full of resentment." - on his character, Edmund Pevensie, in the Chronicles of Narnia
I prefer my character over all the others. I really think I have the best character. Of course, he's a lot like me. He is the tyrant of the family, which I am, and, yep, he succumbs to temptation very easily. Edmund is the black sheep of the family, always teasing Lucy. But, in the end, Narnia makes him good. He goes through the most radical change, starts to appreciate his family. The adventure really changes him into a better person. (Narnia production notes)

Popular for          : As Peter Pevensie in the "The Chronicles of Narnia" film series

BIOGRAPHY
William Peter Moseley was born on April 27, 1987, in Gloucester, England, to Peter Moseley and Julie Fleming. He is the eldest of three children with a younger sister named Daisy and and younger brother named Ben. His father's name is also William's middle name.

Described by those who know him as a rather opinionated young man who knows his own mind, he wanted to be act since he was 10 years old. The young actor had a small role in
Goodbye, Mr. Chips (2002) (TV) as Forrester, and he was cast as an extra in Cider with Rosie (1998) (TV). However, his big break came when he was cast in the part of Peter Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), picked out of thousands of boys for the role. He hopes he won't end up type-cast as Peter and to go on to carve a successful, well-rounded career in acting and directing in the future.

William completed Year 13 in 2006, with A Levels in Media Studies, English and Drama. In autumn 2006, he moved to New York for several weeks to study acting under Sheila Gray, where he trained at the famous Gleeson's gym in Brooklyn in preparation for filming
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008).
Trivia
He is the eldest son of Peter Moseley, a cinematographer, and Julie Fleming.
He has a younger sister Daisy (b. 1989) and a younger brother Ben (b. 1992).
As a 7-year-old, he used to listen to the Chronicles of Narnia audio tapes. He read the books eight years later in preparation for his role as Peter Pevensie in the film adaptation The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005).
He had to repeat Year 12 because he had taken so much time off school while filming The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005).
Casting director Pippa Hall was responsible for casting William as an extra when she was filling roles for Cider with Rosie (1998) (TV) back in 1998. Seven years later, when casting for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), she remembered him and recommended him for the role of Peter.
From the first day of auditioning for the role of Peter Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), it took a further eighteen months before he officially won the role and was cast.
He attended Sheepscombe Primary School between September 1991 to July 1998.
He auditioned, unsuccessfully, for the role of Harry Potter.
Grew three inches during the filming of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005).

Personal Quotes
What I hope is that I don't just become 'Peter from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.' I want to try and do something else to be a good actor and a respected actor.
We just enjoy everything so much. We just tried to relish each moment that we have together as a family and as individuals. The experience we've been given is, without question, the greatest experience of our life. It's just appreciating those things.
I don't think it can sink in. I don't think it really struck me when I first got the part what it was like. I'm fortunate, I'm lucky that it hasn't hit me yet. The weird thing is when you see yourself, as you're driving by, on a poster or you see yourself on a washing up box or something - it's so bizarre. It's just momentary, it's only within those brief few seconds when you see it then you move on with your day. I have a very good family, very good friends and I'm lucky that everyone has been so supportive and kind to me.
I can only hope there'll be a sequel made just because I had such an amazing time on this one. It was beyond every experience imaginable, it was basically a dream come true. For that dream to come true a second time would be quite amazing. Unfortunately I don't have the say.
"As corny as it sounds, I think that's the reason we were cast for these parts: we're so much like them." - on his co-stars and himself being cast in the Chronicles of Narnia
That's a good question. Actually no. Surprising enough we kept a boundary. There is a fine line as you've probably seen and we didn't overstep that mark. Yes, we're still very good platonic friends. We'll leave it at that. - When asked about his relationship with Anna Popplewell.
To put it simply, when Peter steps through the wardrobe, he's a boy. When Peter steps back out of the wardrobe, as the story finishes, he's a man. And, for me, I think I also became a man throughout the making of this film. Like Peter, I'm the oldest in my family. Like Peter, I strive a lot of the time for what's right, what's just. I think that's the reason each of the kids was cast for these parts - we're so like the characters we play. (Narnia production notes)
Narnia has opened my eyes to a lot of things. I feel lucky that I'm able to travel; I'm not stuck in my hometown, meeting the same kind of girls and saying hi to the same people, week after week. There are so many interesting, intelligent girls out there.
I have a fight scene with Sergio Castellitto, the wonderful actor who plays Miraz and whom I have a lot of respect for. At first, when the fight scene was being choreographed, a lot of it was done by stunt doubles. And then Sergio came in and did some of the fight. I didn't think he would be that good. He's kind of a small man. I didn't think much was going to happen. He's always joking and laughing. But when we did the scene, his eyes lit up. He came down hard on me and he just kept going. I was ducking and diving all over. Andrew called 'Cut' and he's like, 'That was great.' Andrew asked me, 'Would you want more of those?' I was like, 'Andrew, that was real! Sergio was really trying to kill me!' I was shaking. It was definitely scary; it really made me have a lot of respect for Sergio. (Inquirer.net, 2008)
I had absolutely no flipping idea. I got the part and ended up in this huge success which really threw my life around. I was just in the right place at the right time!

Personal Quotes
"I can relate to Susan. She thinks in terms of practicality. There are certain areas where we're very similar and certain areas where we're not. I feel very defensive of her. If anyone accuses Susan of being an outright cynic, I'll say, 'No, she's not. There's a perfectly logical explanation for it all. Don't talk about her like that!'" (on her character, Susan Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia)
"Skandar has these eyes that are really expressive and quite penetrating." (on her first impression of costar Skandar Keynes)
"It's gone more quickly than I expected; the time has really flown past. It's a bit like a long and lovely dream, and now I'm ready to wake up." (on the experience of filming the Chronicles of Narnia)
"It's a laid-back set, and everyone's very friendly. Andrew is so relaxed that it makes everyone else relaxed." - On the set of the Chronicles of Narnia
Each of the characters in 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' has their own journey and Susan's no different. Like Peter, she feels the obligation of looking after her younger brother and sister and it's something that has made her grow up too fast - being saddled with all that responsibility. When she comes to Narnia, she thinks she's too grown up to believe in it. But, through this adventure, she becomes more open to the idea of being in this magical land. By the end, it's changed her for the better and she becomes unafraid of being a child. It's a real journey for her. (Narnia production notes)
You start wondering if they could have used CG and you have to wonder whether they'll need actors anymore! Dangerous ground!

Where Are They Now
(July 2008) Studying English at Magdalen College, University of Oxford. She has successfully completed her first year. She is very active in student drama productions, including the staging of Macbeth at FSX theatres in Oxford, England.
(2009) Currently resides in Highbury, London.
